The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is India's premier organization with a mandate to advocate for packaging excellence, safety, and innovation by providing an IIP certificate for packaging of dangerous goods. Dangerous goods, also known as hazardous materials or hazmat, are substances or items that present risks to health, safety, property, or the environment during transportation. They can include materials with explosive, flammable, toxic, infectious, or corrosive characteristics.
